National Sports Day & Fit India Movement 2019
ALL college student schedule probably includes classes, homework, studying, exams, extracurricular activities, social obligations and perhaps even a part-time job. With such a hectic lifestyle, it's sometimes difficult to find time for a workout. But finding time to exercise can improve their focus and concentration, keep them healthy and prevent the pounds from packing on. We all know†Healthy mind resides in a healthy bodyâ€.
Therefore exercise should be made integral part of our students activity. SITM have formulated an fitness action plan for the students which is to be included in the daily routine. The routine includes yoga, physical exercise in gym., walking around campus, climbing stairs, etc.
To commemorate the launch of FIT INDIA MOVEMENT, various activities were undertaken on NATIONAL SPORTS DAY on 29th AUGUST, 2019. The inaugural ceremony started with an address by the Principal who encouraged all the students and the faculty members to actively participate in the program and practice physical activities in their daily life to stay healthy.
The students then watched the live streaming of launch of FIT INDIA MOVEMENT on Doordarshan by HONOURABLE PRIME MINISTER SRI NARENDRA MODI. After that students participated in various sports activities like cricket, badminton ,kho kho, kabaddi, tug-of-war,etc. At the end of the day all members assembled to to conclude the program and pledge to include physical activities in their life.
