  11. Admission Procedure
    Eligibility Criteria:
    1. Admission into the 1st semester of any of the 4 year B.Tech degree courses to seek entry into a 4 year B.Tech degree course, a candidate
      1. Must have passed the Higher Secondary examination of the AHSEC or any equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as the subjects, in one seating. Must have secured at least 45% marks in aggregate in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry (40% for SC & ST candidates)
      2. Must not be more than 21 years of age or must not be less than 17 years of age on 1st of August of the year in which the admission is sought. Upper age limit is relaxable to 22 years in case of B.Sc passed candidates. For SC/ST candidates upper age limit may be relaxed by 3 years.
      3. Must be mentally and physically fit and must possess a good moral character.
      4. Admission will be on the basis of i) CEE score or ii) JEE score
    2. Admission of Diploma Holders candidates into the 2nd year/3rd semester of a 4 year B.Tech degree courses To seek lateral admission at the 3rd semester level, a candidate
      1. Must have passed the Diploma in engineering in the relevant branch with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate. Only candidates fulfilling these conditions would be eligible for appearing in the entrance test meant for selection of Diploma holders for lateral entry to degree programmes. The selection of candidates will be based on merit of the entrance test.
      2. Must be mentally and physically fit and must possess a good moral character.
      3. Admission will be on the basis of i) SITM Lateral Admission Test ii) Score of State Government Lateral Entry Test.

    Several sports competitions on team events like Cricket, Football, Volleyball and individual events in Carrom, Table Tennis, Badminton were held during the college sports week in January-February every year.
