ANTI RAGGING NOTICE 2023

RAGGING LESS CAMPUS LIFE

With roles in the prevention and affirmative action on defaulters, college authorities are the most effective cog in the anti-Ragging mechanism. Proactive monitoring is done by forming teachers’ collegium who undertake surprise visits and anonymous surveys. Authorities also set up anti-Ragging cells/squads at the college, which can offer counseling and human rights lessons. The college organizes interactive sessions between senior and junior students to build rapport. Adverse spot mapping, staggered entry of freshers and seniors, setting up Drop Boxes, awareness classes etc. are adopted to reduce adversities. Teachers have a personal rapport with students to understand their problems.

CCTV cameras are installed in classrooms, washrooms, corridors, playgrounds, and so on. Knowing that we are being watched it is tough to rag a junior.

Candidates can dial the Anti-Ragging Helpline at 1800-180-5522 or call on +91 9818 044 577 in cases of emergency. – The students can also visit the UGC website –ugc.ac.in and anti-ragging.in for more information regarding ragging
